King Promise finally reveals the relationship he has with Mr. Eazi

Ghanaian singer and songwriter, King Promise known in real life as Gregory Bortey Newman has disclosed to Amansan Krakye the kind of relationship that exists between him and Nigerian superstar, Mr. Eazi.

Sharing his thoughts about his relationship with the emPawa Africa Music label boss, King Promise said that Mr Eazi is one of his best friends and they’ve known each other for a long time.

‘Oh Yeah’ hitmaker, King Promise made these comments during an exclusive interview on Kastle FM in Cape Coast monitored by MyNewsGh.com when he was asked by the host why he mostly records with Mr Eazi.

“Yeah, Mr Eazi is one of my very closest friends. He’s my best friend and I have known him for a very long time,” he answered.

He added on the Kastle Drive show that “I’ve known Mr Eazi even before I did a collaboration with him so he’s really a great friend of mine”.

Nigerian singer, Mr Eazi born Oluwatosin Ajibade and King Promise have a lot of amazing songs together such as ‘Oh yeah remix’, ‘Dabebi’, ‘Baby I’m Jealous’, ‘Call Waiting’ among others.

West African mediators to meet detained Malian President today

 

A number of West African mediators are reportedly billed to meet the detained Malian President, Bah N’Daw and Prime Minister, Moctar Ouane.

Reports say the meeting is scheduled to take place today, May 26, 2021.

Mali’s transitional leaders were on Monday, May 24, 2021, stripped of their powers by the military.

The President and Prime Minister have since been in detention.

They came to power with the responsibility of restoring Mali back
to civilian rule following a military coup in August 2020.

Grammy Award-winning Burna Boy Set To Make His First Headline Appearance At The O2 Arena

Grammy award-winning musician, Burna Boy is set to make his first headline appearance at one of London’s biggest entertainment arena “The 02”.

The 02 Arena took to Twitter and announced that the “Twice As Tall” album maker, Burna Boy will be part of their events this August.

I never paid a penny to Bullet when I was signed – Wendy Shay

Singer Wendy Shay has revealed that contrary to artistes who pay money before they are signed, she never gave a penny to her current record label, RuffTown Records when she got signed by its Chief Executive Officer, Bullet.

According to Wendy, her Uncle, Jeff Konadu Addo who is the Eastern Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), was the first to discover her talent as a singer. He then introduced her to Music Producer, Akwesi Ernest, who recommended Bullet to manage her.

After the death of Ebony Reigns, RuffTown Records signed Wendy Shay in January 2018. Her debut single titled ‘Uber Driver’ made waves and launched her into the music scene.

Speaking in an interview on OKAY FM with Abeiku Santana monitored by GhanaWeb, the singer noted that: “We never paid any money to Bullet, he didn’t take money from us… He knows how best to run his business.”

“I know that from the onset, there was no money paid to Bullet. That I can confirm…When I was trying to get my record deal, my Uncle covered all the expenses, he has played a big role.”

Wendy Shay who is one of Ghana’s celebrated female musician said she is highly indebted to her Uncle who motivated her to pursue a music career.

“It was my uncle who discovered my talent, I was in the shower taking a bath when he heard me sing. He called my name, Abena and confessed that I was a great singer. I had come to visit during one of my holidays. That is how he motivated me to record my first demo at a studio,” she revealed.

Akon’s Range Rover stolen as he pumped gas into the vehicle

Senegalese-American singer, Akon’s car was stolen from a gas station in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta.

The car was reportedly stolen as the singer was pumping gas into his car.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Akon stopped at a Quiktrip gas station to fill his white Range Rover up with gas.

He left the car running with the keys inside the vehicle, so he could fill up the gas tank. Before he was done, however, he noticed someone taking off with his car, which held valuables, including a $25,000 diamond necklace, a Louis Vuitton bag and his iPhone.

Akon called police, who arrived at the gas station at 11:59 p.m. He told authorities that a dark-colored sedan followed his SUV when it made a right onto Sidney Marcus Boulevard. Surveillance footage of the theft confirmed his account.

A police report stated that the video showed the sedan as it pulled into the station right next to Akon’s SUV.

“Shortly after, you can see the suspect get out of the passenger seat of what looks to be a black, four-door BMW sedan, get into the driver’s seat of the victim’s vehicle and drive off with the black BMW following right behind,” the report read.

Since his phone was left in the vehicle when it was stolen, Akon reportedly used the FindMyPhone app to track his phone and find his car.

He was first led to Lawton Street in southwest Atlanta, but when police went to that location, they were unable to find it. The second time around, after the app determined the vehicle was in Forest Park, it was recovered by the Forest Park GA Police Department and returned to Akon on Tuesday morning (May 25).

No arrests have been made in connection with the theft of his car.
