Here’s Why Diddy Is Being Sued By His Former Employee

A former employee of Sean “Diddy” Combs has filed a lawsuit against the producer and businessman, alleging sexual assault, sexual harassment, and “grooming.” Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, a former producer and videographer for Combs, filed his civil complaint in New York federal court on Monday. He claims to have worked for and traveled with Combs between 2022 and 2023, collaborating with Combs on his most recent album, “Love.”

Among other allegations, Jones claims that Combs did not compensate him for his music producing work, forced him to procure and interact with sex workers, threatened him, and served alcoholic beverages laced with drugs to guests at parties at his homes. Combs’ chief of staff, Kristina Khorram; Universal Music Group CEO Sir Lucian Grainge; former Motown CEO Ethiopia Habtemariam; and Combs’ adult son, Justin, are also named as defendants.

Justin Combs is accused of soliciting prostitutes and underage girls to attend parties at his father’s homes. Khorram allegedly ordered prostitutes and illicit drugs for Combs and his guests, and according to the lawsuit, Jones believed Khorram “aided and abetted” Combs’ sexual assault. Grainge and Habtemariam, according to the lawsuit, “sponsored and attended several” listening parties for the “Love” album at Combs’ Los Angeles home, and “knew or should have known that Mr. Combs was drugging the attendees through laced bottles of DeLeon Tequila and Ciroc Vodka.” As sponsors of these events, the lawsuit states Grainge and Habtemariam “had a duty and obligation to ensure that sex workers and underaged girls were not present, and that Mr. Combs was not spiking the alcohol with date rape drugs.”

Jones is seeking $30 million.

Shawn Holley, Sean Combs’ attorney, denied the allegations in a statement to CNN, calling Jones “a liar.”

“His reckless name-dropping about events that are pure fiction and simply did not happen is nothing more than a transparent attempt to garner headlines. We have overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies,” Holley said in the statement. “Our attempts to share this proof with Mr. Jones’ attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, have been ignored, as Mr. Blackburn refuses to return our calls. We will address these outlandish allegations in court and take all appropriate action against those who make them.”

A representative for Justin Combs told CNN in a statement: “Justin Combs categorically denies these absurd allegations. They are all lies! This is a clear example of a desperate person taking desperate measures in hopes of a payday. There will be legal consequences for ALL defamatory statements made about the Combs family.”

CNN has it that they have reached out to an attorney for Jones for comment on their statements. Representatives for Khorram, Grainge and Habtemariam were not immediately available for comments.

For the most parts of yesterday, social media was abuzz with news about Kenyan comedic sensation Elsa Majimbo and British supermodel Naomi Campbell.

The news has been sparked by Majimbo’s candid revelations about her relationship with Campbell, the genesis and how they eventually fell out.

The fall out dates back to December 2020, when Majimbo, riding the wave of her pandemic-induced viral fame, reached out to Campbell during one of the supermodel’s visits to Nairobi.

This bold move led to an invitation from Campbell to join her on vacation, marking the beginning of what many saw as a promising mentor-mentee relationship.

Their shared experiences, from a getaway trip to appearances on Campbell’s vlog and discussions about potential projects, painted a picture of mutual admiration and support.

However, as Majimbo revealed in a now deleted emotional TikTok video, the relationship was not without its complexities.

Fall out over documentary

One of the key elements in the fallout was a misunderstanding over a proposed documentary project, which Majimbo pursued independently, despite Campbell proposing the idea to her.

This led to a rift between the two, with Campbell expressing disappointment over what she perceived as a lack of communication and respect for her mentorship.

According to Majimbo, Naomi also claimed to have been behind her fast rise to fame, which the comedian disputed, saying that Naomi was a key resource but not the person who ‘made her’.

She also admitted that the Campbell introduced her to influential people in Hollywood

Following the fallout, Majimbo noted a decline in her influence in the celebrity world and attributed it to the ties she cut with the supermodel.

“Things started going very badly for me. I thought it was because of the situation [with Naomi], but I wanted to be sure,” she said in the video.

Despite her attempts to reconcile, including apology texts and efforts to reconnect through mutual acquaintances, the response from Campbell was not forthcoming.

Majimbo said that during that period when the two were not in association, she turned to alcohol but eventually managed to get her life back in order.

“Naomi obviously never force-fed me alcohol. The situation led to the action. My action. As I said, my part was played and responsibility is mine,” she said in a post clarifying the video.

At the writing of this, Majimbo has deleted the video citing that she is prioritizing peace and happiness in her life but still stands by the words she shared.

Singer Timaya, one of Nigeria’s iconic and diverse musicians and performers, has most recently disclosed that he was briefly stripped of his true identity while doing drugs.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, several “young guys” introduced the dancehall artist to Molly, he said to The Beat FM yesterday.

Timaya shared, “I am not a saint,” during the Morning Rush Show.

Timaya claimed that his incessant need for happiness led to his drug dependence.

“I just want to stay in that state of mind. I shed a lot of weight in this way. I was just delighted, not eating,” he remarked.

“I was consuming about three tablets each day. I feel as though I was taking medicine. It was causing me problems.

He claimed that “Cold Outside” (featuring BNXN), one of his biggest songs ever was inspired by his struggle with heroin addiction.

Timaya explained, “I sang ‘Cold Outside’ because of what I saw when I went outside.” “Every time I go visit, they give me that thing. Just little.” I dash back inside.

Fela influenced Burna Boy, Wizkid, other Afrobeats artists – Sarz

Nigerian record producer, Osabuohien Osaretin, popularly known as Sarz, has spoken on the influence of legendary musician and Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Kuti, on present day Afrobeats artists.

He said the late music icon is an inspiration to present day Afrobeats artistes such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, Rema, and also generations of musicians to come.

Speaking in a recent interview with ARZ, Sarz disclosed that he also samples beats from Fela’s works.

He said, “Recently, I listened to Fela’s catalog and I just find things I can sample or flip. Even in modern Afrobeats, you can tell his influence on a lot of us, from Burna Boy to Wizkid to Rema, and to the generation even coming. I’m sure they will still be inspired by the legend.”

The two Northern California native rappers joined forces on the brand-new San Francisco 49ers anthem “Do It for the Bay,” which dropped Friday alongside a music video, all created in partnership with the NFL team.

A high-energy hip-hop track, “Do It for the Bay” finds Saweetie, 30, and P-Lo, 32, rapping lyrics about their love for and loyalty to football team, referencing its signature red and gold colors as well as California’s Bay Area.

“Do your dance, do your dance / We just came through the end zone again / ‘What we standin’ on?’ — Real big business / City of the dubs, you know we stay winnin’,” both artists rap on the song ahead of its chorus, which features the simple lines: “OK, OK, OK, OK / Do it for the Bay.”

In the song’s music video, both performers rock 49ers merchandise and perform “Do It for the Bay” as footage from the team’s games is interspersed throughout the clip. P-Lo pays homage to San Francisco’s Levi’s Stadium by wearing head-to-toe Levi’s provided by the brand.

Saweetie expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration and referenced the 49ers’ loyal fanbase in a statement. “I’m excited to share our new 49ers single designed to hype up the team and The Faithful for this playoffs run! I want to thank the 49ers organization for this opportunity,” she said.

The Grammy-nominated “Tap In” musician continued, “Shout out to P-Lo for doing what he does. I love that we were able to collaborate and make something that’s so Bay-triotic, as P-Lo would say.”

P-Lo echoed her thoughts in a statement of his own. “Big thanks to the 49ers for their commitment to bridging sports and Bay Area culture,” he said. “I’ve been wanting to release music with Saweetie and with both of us being die-hard 49ers fans, this a great opportunity to come together and show our pride for The Bay.”

The 49ers’ senior director of brand marketing, Allie Dicken, gave thanks to the two artists in a statement, “We’re grateful to iconic Bay Area artists and 49ers Faithful, Saweetie and P-Lo, for creating a song that celebrates our team and gives The Faithful a new song for their gameday soundtracks.”

Dicken continued, “We’re lucky to be based in a region that is thriving with talent, diversity, and innovation, and excited that Saweetie and P-Lo were able to capture those values in this new anthem for The Bay.”

It’s likely “Do It for the Bay” will be played over the speakers at Levi’s Stadium quite soon, as the 49ers are set to play their home sporting venue on Saturday in a game against the Green Bay Packers.

“I’m Fighting Off A Virus” – Tiwa Savage Cancels All Upcoming Performances.

Nigerian sensational singer , Tiwa Savage has cancelled all her upcoming performances to focus on her recovery from an undisclosed “virus.”

The singer shared this information through her official social media pages on October 7th, 2023 in an official statement to the public.

It is so unfortunate that her highly anticipated first-ever arena show in London as a headliner has also been postponed, along with all her other scheduled concerts.

Meanwhile the specific name of the virus was not disclosed in her post, but Tiwa claimed that she has received medical advice to observe strict vocal rest for the next several months.

Furthermore, all her performances will be on hold to ensure a full and speedy recovery.

EFCC Arrests A Nigerian Singer Over Alleged £9,300 Internet Fraud

A Nigerian singer by the name , Aniji Shedrack Chidubem, well known as Sanij-D, has been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over alleged internet fraud.

Sanij-D was said to be arrested in the Kuje Area Council of Abuja, after agreeing to have defrauded a Briton, Susan Mclean, the sum of £9,300 also an American: Diana Rosado Gonzales the sum of $2,000.

The singer was arrested after a credible intelligence was carried out on the activities of a syndicate of internet fraudsters, the EFCC made this known during a press statement on Monday, October 16.

The statement reads:

“Chidubem allegedly impersonated one Christopher Rossi, a marine engineer that fixes boats and pipelines in Singapore. He was using Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp applications, with foreign phone numbers, as his fraudulent means of perpetrating and defrauding his victims,”

Nigerian Grammy Awards winner, Burna Boy has explained his view towards what he would do if he had access to his Twitter account.

The singer is currently not having access to his Twitter account and has made it clear, what he would do by being frequent on the site and wouldn’t tolerate disrespect from anyone.

During an interview on Kiss Fresh by Henrie, Burnaboy claimed that his management has taken control of his Twitter account, while emphasizing that if he were to regain access, he would make waves on a daily basis.

The singer continued that he doesn’t and won’t tolerate online disrespect, while boasting that his presence on Twitter would consistently shake the ground.
