The former national publicity secretary of Afenifere, a Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group, late Yinka Odumakin’s mum, Madam Alice Odumakin, has died at the age of 93.
It will be recalled that Yinka’s father, Elder Ezekiel Odumakin died at the age of 116 in August 2022.
The sad news was announced by human rights activist, late Yinka’s wife, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin on Wednesday through her official Facebook page.
She wrote:
“The matriarch of the Odumakin family, Madam Alice Odumakin has passed on.
Yinka Odumakin‘s mother passed on this morning in Ikorodu, Lagos at about 10.15 a.m. Madam Alice Odumakin never recovered from the death of her son and husband.”
Dr Joe Odumakin further said that more information would be released by the family soon.
The human rights activist and politician, Yinka Odumakin died on the 3rd of April, 2021.
