Nigeria singer David Adeleke, well known as Davido, has again captured the admiration of many with his latest achievement in the music industry.
The Mayor of Houston, has officially announced that Texas will be declaring July 7th of each year as “World Davido Day” in the city.
Davido on the 7th of June, 2023, delivered an exceptional performance at the Toyota center in Houston, during his Timeless tour in the United States.
This recognition comes after a similar honor was bestowed upon another Nigerian star, Wizkid by the Governor of Minnesota, Mark Dayton, also declared October 6th, 2023, as “World Wizkid Day” in the city, then in 2018.

The 62nd mayor of Houston, Texas, Sylvester Turner, granted this latest distinction to Davido in acknowledgment of his significant contributions to the music industry.
