The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana’s National Film Authority (NFA), Juliet Asantewa Asante, has revealed that President Nana Akufo-Addo has always dreamt of being a movie producer.
She made this known in an interview on Citi TV monitored by African Entertainment on Thursday morning, April 29, 2021.
According to the veteran actress, “Akufo-Addo has always said he wants to be a film maker so this is the opportunity for him to make film.”
Ms. Asante who has been an actress for about 25 years, was speaking about the recently launched $25 million Presidential Film Pitch Series of Ghana.
President Akufo-Addo launched the Series in Accra on Wednesday, April 28, 2021.
The $25 million, Mr. Akufo-Addo said, “will provide Ghanaian film-makers the opportunity to access markets for their films.”
