Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Film Authority (NFA), Juliet Asantewa Asante, has stated that grand agenda of Presidential Film Pitch Series is to set up Ghana as a film hub in Africa.
She made this known in an interview on Citi TV.
In the interview monitored by African Entertainment, Ms. Asante, a veteran actress, indicated that The Presidential Film Pitch Series is the first of its kind in the world.
She said the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), MulticChoice Ghana, were partners for the Presidential Pitch Film Series.
Ms. Asante who has been an actress for about 25 years, was speaking about the recently launched $25 million Presidential Film Pitch Series of Ghana.
President Akufo-Addo launched the Series in Accra on Wednesday, April 28, 2021.
The $25 million, Mr. Akufo-Addo said, “will provide Ghanaian film-makers the opportunity to access markets for their films.”
Ms. Asante has the potential to create more jobs and wealth for Ghana.
