The British Council Ghana has announced the “sudden” death of its Country Director Alan Rutt.

According to the Council, he died last week.

Eulogizing the late Rutt on Facebook, the British Council Ghana indicated: “Our staff is completely devastated by the news. Alan Rutt was a much-loved husband, father, grandfather, highly-respected colleague, and friend. He will be intensely missed here in Ghana and by friends and colleagues around the world”.

The organization further stated that “as a mark of respect we will be closing our offices on Friday 30 April and will not reopen until Tuesday 04 May”.

“We have set up an online Book of Condolence: http://bit.ly/e-book-Alan,” it said.
