I Was Warned not to get involved with Her Court Issues”- Akuapem Poloo’s Baby father reveals

 

The father of incarcerated actress Akuapem Poloo’s six-year-old son, Rashid Yakubu has revealed the reasons why he did not show up during her trial.

According to Yakubu, Akuapem Poloo’s management warned him on several occasions not to get involved in her court issues even though he was willing to testify in court for her release.

Rashid Yakubu made this revelation in an interview with Abeiku Santana on Accra- based radio station Okay FM, monitored by African Entertainment when asked reasons why he was not seen at Akuapem Poloo’s trial.

Yakubu said he visited Akuapem Poloo’s house on Thursday, April 15, to inform her mother of his intentions to testify for her but was not willing to allow him to be part of the witnesses at the court.

He said “I visited Poloo’s home on several occasions to inform her mother of my willingness to testify on the judgment day, Friday, April 16. But she did not give me any response. And already the management team told me not to get involved”.

Meanwhile, the actress was released from prison yesterday after meeting her bail condition in the sum of GHc 80,000 with two sureties.

The actress was sentenced to 90-day imprisonment on April 16, 2021 for domestic violence, and publication of obscene materials.
