Schools reopen after 7 years in Kenya’s terror-prone zone

Kenya has reopened schools in one of its terror zones, the Boni territory.

Schools in the Boni territory, according to local media reports, have been closed for about seven years.

But local media reports monitored by African Entertainment indicated that at least six schools in Boni have reopened.

Boni forest on the Kenyan-Somali border reportedly harbor fighters of the Islamist terrorist group Al Shabaab.

Reports say the militants periodically carry out attacks on Kenyan soldiers and civilians.

As a result of the constant attacks, schools in the Boni territory were shut for seven years.
