American comedian, actor, writer and social critic, Paul Gladney, popularly known as Paul Mooney, has passed away.
He was aged 79. His death was announced on Wednesday afternoon, May 19, 2021, through his verified Twitter account.

The late Mooney is best known as a writer for comedian Richard Pryor, playing singer Sam Cooke in The Buddy Holly Story and Junebug in Bamboozled.
He is also well known for his appearances on Chappelle’s Show.
He was born August 4, 1941 in Shreveport, Louisiana, United States.
His children include: Dwayne Mooney, Symeon Mooney, Daryl Mooney, Shane Mooney.
