Two transgender women in Cameron have been sentenced to five years imprisonment.
They were sentenced today, Wednesday, May 12, 2021.
They were sentenced for what the court described as “attempted homosexuality.”

The two transgender women are Loic Njeukam, otherwise known as Shakiro on social media, and Roland Mouthe, aka. Patricia.
The pair, African Entertainment understands, were arrested in February 2021.
But human rights activists say their arrest is part of a growing trend in Cameroon to criminalize sexual minorities and transgender people.
