Gender-Based Organization Wants AKA’s Music Muted On Radio, Online; Here’s Why

Gender-Based Violence (GBV) organization called Women For Change is demanding online music platforms, radio, and TV stations to mute AKA’s music.

Women For Change is a non-profit organization that aims to create awareness and raise funds to end Gender-Based Violence in South Africa.

The organization also urged people to mute AKA’s music on their streaming platforms such as Apple Music, and Spotify just to mention a few.

Woman For Change also declared their support for Enhle Mbali following the video that was shared by the actress speaking about her ex-husband Black Coffee.

In the video, Enhle reveals that the Randburg Magistrate’s Court denied her a protection order against Black Coffee.

She also spoke about the day that her ex-husband physically abused her and how the whole situation has affected her children.
“This man lied in the court of law. Saying he went under my arm, as tall as he is when he knows very well that he hit me. He struck my hand twice and pushed me into our marital property. I don’t feel safe as he is also psychologically messing with my children. Which is why I had to stand up and fight for myself. He called my children, telling them to stop this whole case. And my child was crying. My child told me that he doesn’t feel like a child anymore. Because of the divorce, because he’s got new siblings and so many other things.”
Enhle’s case was dismissed, announcing the news on Twitter, Black Coffee wrote: “Following the proceedings, the Court has ruled in my favor. The interim Protection order was set aside and her case was dismissed. Thank you all who stood by my side.
“In April I tweeted that I did not, and would not assault Mbali. I did this to set the record straight to correct the narrative that is out there. I thereafter chose to remain silent about the issue as I had faith and trust in the judicial system.”
