Man United vs Liverpool postponed as angry fans protest over allegedly stolen £1bn, Club ownership

The Premier League match between Man United and Liverpool has been postponed indefinitely due to ongoing protests at Old Trafford.

Angry Manchester United supporters  stormed Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon in protest against the Club’s current ownership.

The ongoing protest caused the Man United vs Liverpool which was scheduled to kick off at 4:30pm today, Sunday May 2, 2021, to be delayed until it was finally postponed.

The protest is against the Glazer family. Glazer and Ed Woodward are being asked by the protesters to leave Man United.

In live television coverage monitored by African Entertainment, several protesters were seen wielding placards, with some inscriptions “Glazer Out. Woodward out.”

Some fans alleged funds have been stolen from Manchester United, saying emphatically that “Over £1b stolen from MUFC”.

The fans broke into Old Trafford and took their protest onto the pitch, with smoke all over.

The Man United vs Liverpool match was scheduled to be played behind closed doors in line with Britain’s coronavirus safety protocols.

Some angry fans also rallied outside Man United’s hotel, The Lowry Hotel in Manchester.
