About six Chines nationals have been arrested by the National Security for allegedly engaging in galamsey activities in Asankragwa, a town within the Western region of Ghana.
The suspects have been charged with money laundering and drug peddling. The suspects include Chem Gui Bim 31, Lu Siam Chu 36, Wu Sao Pui 41, Yao Sausam 44, Xue Lian Lua 30, and Cheng Chun Ron.
They were arrested in a police swoop at Xindi Hotel by the Asankragwa- Enchi road. The offcials seized a Toyota Land Cruiser and GH₵ 1302,990.
Other seized items include boxes of mercury, six pump action guns, a sidearm, seven excavators control boards, three parcels of Indian hemp, eight cartridge, a laptop, 80 phones, and four ipads.
The suspects are in the custody of the National Security assisting investigations.
