Police from the Operational Support Division (OSD) have been cited at the St. Joseph Primary School Polling Centre in Central Freetown to calm tensions over delayed voting.
Earlier, there were delays in voting at centre 16148 in the polling station.
Voting in centre 16147 has been ongoing smoothly but our source revealed that the bulk of voters in the polling station are in the said centre.
The delay resulted in a rowdy situation where voters were seen chanting “we want to vote”.
“It is as if they do not want us to vote,” Musa (not his real name) said.
