Nigeria singer, Iyanya has expressed his feelings about how Nigerian artists are not regarded and not given credit for their stressful hours of labour.
Iyanya took to his official Instagram page to blast fans who insults him and other artistes, without understanding how and why some artists end up in difficult circumstances while despising their days of little beginnings.
Iyanya wrote a lengthy article on his page, expressing his views.
He wrote:
“2008 I won a keenly contested MTN Project Fame. Una say I no go far, say winners of competitions no Dey do well”
“recorded and released one of the biggest Afrobeat songs of all time “Kukere” una talk say na fluke I give una “ur waist” una say e sounded like Kukere, I gave you sexy mama”.
He continued;
“Flavor, away, applausdise, jombolo, gift, okamfo, Iyanu, Mr Oreo, kukere remix, Koma roll remix, Regea Blues remix, upto something, Le kwa ukwu.”
“Recently gave you “like” Ft Davido x Kizz Danie, “one side” x Oneside remix, “sinner “ which is currently on #11 on Apple Top 100. And today i drop my second EP in 14 Months”
Iyanya continue by saying that some fans don’t acknowledge their artists’ days of little beginnings.
He wrote:
“The truth is, y’all disrespect people’s journey and expect others to respect yours.”
“Yes after sometime I was out, now I’m back, the foundation for a new iyanya has been laid and the house is currently being built and I promise you, we will roof part of it soon.( music) Love you All, Remain Blessed”.
