President of Sierra Leone His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio has, for the very first time, thrown an open challenge to the Former President of Sierra Leone Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma to come out and publicly denounce the notorious Terrorist going by the name of ‘Adebayo’ who lives in Holland. The President also made a unique Call to Paramount Chiefs on the Ernest Bai Koroma matter.
President Bio was speaking in Miraykuray Town of Tinkatopa Chiefdom and later in Masiaka Town of Koya Chiefdom; both located inside Port Loko District on Wednesday June 14th 2023. The President first highlighted that his predecessor Ernest Bai Koroma was a key member of the main opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) as Koroma served, until recently, as the Leader of APC.
President Bio said Adebayo, in perpetuating acts of Terrorism, will always say he is fronting for the interest of the APC so it is important for the APC to consistently distance themselves from the ‘Adebayo’ phenomenon at any time Adebayo associates his terrorism actions to be done for the benefit of the APC.
President Bio, who was in Miraykuray and Masiaka Towns as part of ongoing presidential campaigns for the 2023 Presidential Elections, has also called on APC’s 2023 Presidential Candidate Dr. Samura Kamara to join other “good citizens who love Sierra Leone” in publicly denouncing the terrorist actions and utterances of ‘Adebayo’ that are regularly being broadcast from Holland.
“I am challenging you all starting from Ernest Koroma himself and then to every one of you APC Leaders,” President Bio threw the challenge whilst calling on Koroma and other APC Hierarchy to go over the BBC and every local and international radio stations and say this Adebayo person who is threatening our country’s peace, causing killings of people and burning of houses and properties is not good for Sierra Leone and should be handled under the Law.
President Bio asked the people of Port Loko to reflect with their consciences as to whether Ernest Bai Koroma himself has ever opened his mouth to denounce ‘Adebayo’ the terrorist to which the crowd roared loudly that indeed Former President Ernest Bai Koroma has never denounced Adebayo before.
“Big men are hiding behind their fingers,” President Maada Bio openly said of his predecessor Ernest Bai Koroma, his current challenger Dr. Samura Kamara and all the other influential ‘big people’ in APC Leadership.
On the part of the large crowd which gathered, it was stated several times that despite all what ‘Adebayo’ says and does to supposedly defend Ernest Bai Koroma and supposedly advance the interests of the APC, all of ‘Adebayo’ terrorist actions have never been denounced from the lips of Ernest Bai Koroma – not even one time.
H.E. President Bio said it should be very simple for Ernest Bai Koroma to personally come out and publicly denounce Adebayo if Ernest Koroma was truly a good Sierra Leone citizen who means well for Sierra Leone.
The Head of State therefore urged Ernest Bai Koroma to behave like a true Patriot who loves Sierra Leone by immediately telling the people of Sierra Leone that ‘Adebayo’ is a very bad person, Adebayo should not be listened to nor should Adebayo’s Calls become heeded or followed by youths
The President has also called on all Sierra Leone Paramount Chiefs, especially the ones in northern axis of the country, to take note of the fact that he (Maada Bio) has finally broken his silence on Ernest Bai Koroma with his assertions that he has evidence to prove that the Former President is the one who sends Adebayo to say the things that the Former President wants said and those are things which make the country to become unstable and lose its treasured peace.
There has been no reaction yet from either Former President Ernest Bai Koroma nor from Dr. Samura Kamara as we went to press.
