Burna Boy’s Sister, Nissi, Responds To Davido Categorizing Her Brother As A ‘New Cat’

Nigeria singer, Burna Boy’s sister, Nissi has reacted recently to Davido’s description of her brother as the “new cat” during an interview.

Davido during an interview with Brut Afrique, described how afrobeats became a worldwide phenomenon in the world of music today.

Nissi, Burna Boy’s sister, has taken to her social media page to reply Davido’s comment in the interview.

Davido claimed in the interview that he and Wizkid developed the worldwide afrobeats wave.

He then also said that the ‘new cats’, like Burna Boy, Rema, Asake, and many more, have taken the wave to a greater height.

Davido said;

“Everybody knows that I was one of the first, me and Wizkid to blow up. It feels good also seeing that the news cats coming up; like Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Rema, Asake, and Mayorkun,”

The statement also stirred up reactions from fans as Davido labels Burna as a “new cat” on social media.

Nissi, therefore responded to Davido’s comment by sharing a video of Burna Boy, performing in front of over 80,000 fans at the London Stadium, and captioned it;
