The Ministry of National Security has initiated an investigation over the alleged assault of two Citi TV journalists Caleb Kudah and Zoe Abu Baidoo.
A press statement dated 13th May 2021 and signed by LT.Col. Ababio Serebour (RTD), Chief Director, the allegation of manhandling by the two journalists will be investigated.
“The Ministry, therefore takes with all seriousness, the allegations of manhandling of the two journalists during the interrogation. The Ministry has therefore initiated an investigation into the said allegations”.
It added “the Ministry of National Security wishes to assure the public that appropriate actions shall be taken if the allegations are found to be true”.
It will be recalled that Caleb Kudah in an interview with Bernard Avle gave a recount of his experience and ordeal he went through in the hands of the National Security.
According to Caleb Kudah, he had to deny being an Ewe to escape more beatings after he was arrested by the National Security for filming their Building.
